How to fixit to the paddle Board?

The PaddleSit is designed so that it does not need to be attached to the board. Most paddleboards have a rubber-covered surface with a high adherence, so the PaddleSit will not move. For this reason we do not supply binding straps.

As it is loose, you can move it forward when you are standing up to paddle in the middle of the board.

However, we have designed the PaddleSit with some holes on the side that you can use to attach it to the board with straps if you wish. Another option is to simply leash it to the board so that if it tips over, it will not separate from the board.

How to sit

The PaddleSit has several options of use, all these alternatives make it a very versatile device that will allow us to multiply the possibilities of this sport, for example if we make a crossing we will exercise different muscles and make a more complete exercise. One of the disadvantages of paddle surfing is that you need a little practice to learn it. With the PaddleSit you can enjoy it from the beginning.

Another common problem is that a bit of wind makes our body act as a sail and can make it difficult for us to return to the shore. The PaddleSit increases our stability and provides us with extra power that can get us out of a jam if the weather conditions get worse.

MAIN POSITION: KNEELING

The PaddleSit is designed to sit on your knees, this position is unusual for most people but is surprisingly comfortable and perfect for keeping your back straight.

You should first take off your shoes or wear shoes that allow you to fold your toes slightly, such as booties.

Then regulate the seat correctly. The height of the centre seat should be as low as possible without disturbing your heels. Note that an elevated seat position may be comfortable for resting but less convenient for rowing.

Adjust the inclination of the central seat to your liking, for this there is no fixed rule but we can take into account that if we want to row with speed the body leans slightly forward and we can tilt the seat a little more. If on the other hand we row more relaxed we will position the seat more horizontally.

Finally, position the legs so that the ankle coincides with the lowering of the cushion. These cushions are fixed to the base with Velcro so you can move them forward or backward as you like, although in most cases this is not necessary. You can try different heights and inclinations until you find the most comfortable one.

Make sure that the clamps/brackets or clips are securely fastened when you finish the adjustments.

SECOND OPTION: CONVENTIONAL

One of the strong points of the PaddleSit is the possibility of changing position unlike kayaks. Any position becomes uncomfortable if it is maintained for a long time,

In this way we can use it as a conventional seat by tilting the central seat almost vertically to use it as a backrest as seen in the drawing. With a little practice you will be able to change position whilst you are in route.

THIRD OPTION: STANDING

The PaddleSit has a central housing that allows us to carry a second paddle, this is very useful if we want to row standing up, position for which the paddle surf was designed. To do this we change the paddle and move the PaddleSit forward a little bit to be in the center and paddle normally.

Use for Meditation

One of the usual meditation positions in yoga is the so-called “hero’s posture or Vira sana”, which consists of sitting on your knees with the help of a meditation bench. The PaddleSit facilitates this position making it more comfortable. It allows the back to be straight and the legs to relax without forcing the ankles.

The versatility of the seat allows us as we have seen numerous possibilities limited only by our imagination. We can use it as we have seen it as an accessory in yoga, as a seat in a low table, to work in low places like skirting boards, etc.

MAINTENANCE
The PaddleSit requires little maintenance, as it is designed with quality materials. All metals are stainless Steel and the seat cushions are made of closed cell foam and cork with little or no water absorption. The cushion covers are made of easily washable nautical material. Simply rinse the PaddleSit with fresh water after each use and store it once dry.
